Safeguarding at preschool

Safeguarding is deeply embedded in our preschool. This means we are committed to:

  • Protecting children from maltreatment

  • Preventing the impairment of, and instead promoting, children’s health and development

  • Ensuring the children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care

  • Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.

(Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018)

This means we put children’s mental health and wellbeing are at the centre of what we do and believe in early intervention that should take an holistic approach which should include the family.

We believe safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility and everyone at our setting should act in a timely and coordinated manner to respond to any concerns about the welfare of a child.

Please see our Safeguarding Policy for more information.
