Toilet training

When you start thinking about toilet training please come and talk to us. Toilet training when your child at preschool is very different from what happens at home due to the nature of our setting so it’s really important you chat with your key worker to ensure we all work together for success!

PLEASE READ OUR NEW POLICY BEFORE EMABRKING ON YOUR TOILET TRAINING JOURNEY.

We know there is usually conflicting advice as there’s so much support out there. Here are our main suggestions:

  1. Wait until your child is ready, don’t force it

  2. Try not to use pull ups, in our experience they make it more difficult for children to feel when they are wet, straight to pants is best

  3. Be patient, (this is the hardest one), there will be accidents, try not to get annoyed, everyone is different but they will get there in the end!

  4. Ask us for help, that’s what we’re here for
